Cargo and freight insurers are talking with confidence about the recovery of the market after the crisis. For example, just the first quarter of 2011 has shown a 31.4% growth in Russia and the progress is still ongoing!
All transport operations which involve carrying of goods are liable to material accidents such as loss or damages of cargo due to different kinds of force-majeure situations. Without doubt insurance is the only way of avoiding or mitigating the losses.
However, the successful development of cargo and freight insurance in the region is hampered by a number of obstacles such as: ongoing price dumping, inadequate legislation, low level of insurance necessity understanding among the customers, to name but a few.
Following the success of our annual Marine Insurance forums, Worldwide Expert invites cargo and freight insurance professionals to this new conference in order to discuss hot and burning issues, which are on top of all specialists' agendas today, exchange practical experience with their peers and representatives from regulating authorities and supporting services.

Sergei Rogov (09.05.1961 - 30.12.2010), a certified court sworn expert on specialties: "Expedition" and "Transport insurance" (the President's List of Land Court in civil law, Graz, Austria), assistant director of the Directorate and the legal department of the Austrian expedition company Leitner and consultant Vienna, a lecturer on Transport Law at the Bar Academy (Vienna, since 2003), a member of the Editorial Board "European Transport Law" (Belgium) and the German Society of Transport Law, a permanent staff at the "Transportecht" journal (Germany), the author of many scientific publications in the field of transport law and insurance. |
