Leaders of Russian Leasing market, who gathered in the beginning of March in Amsterdam at “Russian Leasing: Assessment of 2010” conference, have decided to meet again in Moscow in the middle of September 2011.
This idea has been supported by the United Leasing Association, which has become a co-organiser of these annual meetings.
As the 2010 results show, Russian leasing is gradually conquering winning positions and is definitely entering on the road to success.
But this triumphant march is being disrupted by problems neglected during the infamous crisis which are now slowing down development and causing serious damage to potentially successful business
Among these problems are: inadequate legislation and threats to cancel some allowances (such as the abolishment of accelerated amortisation); transfer to IFRS; lack of unified leasing terminology; risks identification and mitigation and many others
The forthcoming conference “Russian Leasing 2011”, which will take place in Moscow on 15 & 16 of September 2011, offers its participants from international and local leasing companies and banks, consulting and legal firms, insurance companies, manufacturers and representatives from state organisations, an unprecedented platform for communication and discussion of current leasing industry's issues.
